Quality
of breast milk is the unique thought by ancient Ayurvedic
Vaidyas/Rushis. If the postnatal care (sootika paricharya)
as told in classical Ayurvedic text is not followed, the stanya
(breast milk) gets vitiated by doshas. Many symptoms are observed
due to vitiated breast milk. This breast milk affects the
infant also. To get rid of such vitiated breast milk, tikta
(bitter) taste is used. Gudchi with its bitter taste purifies
the breast milk & improves the quality of milk. Shatavari
increases the flow of breast milk. The infant is feeded with
the breast milk upto 3 months; hence, breast milk is helpful
in development of child. Qualitatively good and pure breast
milk will only nourish the child. Now it is well known that
breast milk enhances the immunity power of the baby, hence
good milk will increase immunity and build the body of the
baby.

How
the drug acts?
Shatavari & Guduchi are the main ingradients of this drug.
Shatavari is of Madhur Rasa (Sweet taste) Sheeta Veerya (Cool
in nature). Madhur vipaka (sweet effect after digestion) Madhur
rasa nourishes the body. It helps in improving the muscle
tone of the body shatavari is galactagogue. It improves lactation.
Guduchi
is tikta rasatmaka i.e. bitter in taste but still it is sweet
after digestion hence used as rasayan i.e. for rejuvination.
Guduchi due to its taste helps to purify the breast milk,
hence improves the quality of milk.
